About Little Deer
Oh, Hi there! So glad you want to know a little more about us.
Born from a need for eye-catching, beautiful yet minimal clothes storage and display, Little Deer was founded in 2017 when we launched our very first clothing rail made from copper pipe. Over the past four years we have become well known for our extensive range of hand-crafted copper, plywood and iron furniture, and our mood-setting home décor.
We are based in Shoreham-by-Sea on the south coast of the UK and our copper, birch plywood and iron pieces are all handcrafted either in our own workshop within our warehouse, or in our Brighton-based carpenter’s workshop.
Our carefully curated home accessories range allows you freedom of expression to live the way you want. From a single bunch of dried grasses to a complete room or home style, there’s something reassuring about our relaxed approach to cozying up your space. Our products have been rapidly growing in popularity and have been featured in national magazines including Living Etc, Stella Telegraph, Home Style, Moment, and Molly Makes.
We‘ve been focusing this year on switching out some of our larger suppliers in order to support smaller businesses, including local and UK based talented makers and brands who share our commitment to good design and to reducing the environmental impacts of what we do. We review our supply chain and packing process at least once every six months, ensuring we implement changes where we can, and we have a very nifty machine in our warehouse which enables us to turn used cardboard into a versatile and protective packing material.
In 2020 we signed up to Ecologi, through which we fund the planting of one tree for every single order placed through our website!
The Team
Eleanor – Warehouse Manager
Let’s start with Eleanor, our very own warehouse superwoman! Eleanor handles the day to day running of the warehouse which includes answering all your enquiries, as well as picking, packing and shipping your orders with care, ordering supplies, and keeping on top of anything and everything else that pops up!
Georgia – Maker
Georgia is our super talented maker who crafts a huge number of our handmade copper and iron clothing rails, shelving units and other furniture from scratch, and hand-finishes our plywood pieces. Georgia also works on a number of our bespoke orders, and is available to lend a helping hand in the warehouse on busier days!
Alice – Owner & Managing Director
That’s me, the very proud owner here at Little Deer! It’s hard to sum up my day-to-day in a couple of sentences, but I’m the face behind these words and our social media posts. I also handle your bespoke enquiries, and am constantly working on developing our product ranges, sourcing and designing new products or planning shoots.
